Fritz Lang was an early film maker ("Metropolis") who was known for long ominous shadows. This image started off as a tiny little print made from an old eraser Marvin had in his office at Indiana University Bloomington where he worked as a sign maker. He printed it on a piece of cardboard, and stuck it to his shirt with a piece of scotch tape. The woman selling popcorn saw it and burst out laughing - it was this incident that started the idea of original blockprinted pins and earrings we called "Pin Prints". I still have a bunch somewhere, and will add them to the website in the future.
